Northern bluebells are a spring ephemeral native to northwestern Ontario. Once commonly found, northern bluebells are less commonly found today. They are a beautiful woodland species that grow slowly by root rhizomes. They bloom early in the spring, and the plant disappears by later summer. But have no fear--they will be back again next spring! Grow this plant in rich, moist soil with lots of leaf mulch in part sun to shade.
Plants are sourced from our property in Pass Lake taken from areas that have been cleared for the nursery. We also use division and root rhizomes to grow our plants.
