Riverbank grape is a near native vine (meaning it is present in Ontario but not specifically in northwestern Ontario). It is an aggressive vine that likes moist soil and sun. When grown in shade, it is not as aggressive as when it is grown in its optimal conditions. Birds and other animals like the fruit in the late summer and fall.
