Red elderberry is a medium to large sized shrub growing to about 8-10 feet. Red elderberry likes average to moist soil and can often be found on woodland edges in light to part shade. It produces red berries mid summer which are loved by birds. It flowers in June, providing important early season food for our native pollinators.
Seeds sourced from our property. Some plants are also grown from cuttings from shrubs on our property.
