Common milkweed is the classic host plant for monarchs, although its flowers attract a great many pollinators. Common milkweed will spread by rhizomes. It grows to about 5 ft, and likes medium wet to medium dry soils. It requires full to partial sun to do well.
Seeds sourced locally and from Ontario. Native to northwestern Ontario.
