Northern bush honeysuckle is a small shrub growing to about 3 to 4 ft and spreading rapidly by rhizomes. It can be found across northwestern Ontario. It has small yellow to orange flowers, and attracts hummingbirds. It will grow in dry to medium areas and in partial sun to shade.
Northern bush honeysuckle is also the host plant for the Diervilla Clearwing moth (Hemaris aethra), also known as the hummingbird moth.
Seeds sourced locally. Native to northwestern Ontario.
